Nick Roach’s Best Themes

One of the most devoted & talented WordPress designers I know (well… every WP user does), whose themes run all over the internet – Nick Roach, owner of ElegantThemes.

What makes him so special, besides the gorgeous & easy to use themes, is that compared to other premium theme sites, he gives access to all his themes and all the upcoming themes during your subscription for only $39/year

I’ll focus on his work today, as that’s what makes ElegantThemes so popular, but if you want to know more about him just read this interview here. Mainly all his work deserves being reviewed here, but I’ll just take the best theme from each niche, as whatever you’re looking for, he already made it.

A Corporate Theme

13floor

Even though the colors are mainly dark, it actually comes up in a classy & professional  way. It really speaks to you. Besides being able to grab your visitor’s attention with the automated scrolling articles shortly describing your services/products, you don’t need too much text, as brief reviews can be directed to a separate page.

It’s a common feature for all Nick’s corporate themes, but still worth mentioning the fact that you also get a blogging space to interact on.

Mobile App Page Theme

myapp theme

A theme designed specially for Mobile App owners who’d like to advertise their software. Flexible, easy to use (5-10 minutes to make you page live), and oriented towards showing your app from the best angles.

Any online marketing expert would agree that all the marketing rules/strategies were used properly, so your app would sell easily.

Products Review Theme

Running a blog that involves product reviews and ratings?  It’s way better than you imagined, as it actually offers all the space you ever needed. Lot’s of rating ability, polls, price tags, top rated products widget and ability of any visitor to vote are just some of the features this masterpiece has to offer.

It does have many unseen before options, which were never indexed in a wordpress theme like that, but it only requires reading the 1 page documentation.

Selling Real Estate Theme?

elegantestatet theme

I was a bit surprised when Nick decided to go to such a specific area like – Real Estate Sales. It covers everything a real estate agent may need for a successful sale. Very well arranged homepage (user friendly atmosphere), with lots of listing search criteria and information regarding each sale. The thing I think is the most impressive, is that you get the ability to add as much information to your sales as you need, without ruining the big picture: Type of building, Number of Bedrooms, Garage, Area, Bathrooms, and a scroll-able gallery, brief description, price range, etc.

This is one of the themes that first got the Google Maps option on it. Off course the theme can be used in many other niches just by opening you mind.

Event Theme

The name speaks for itself. A theme made particularly for those who organize events. Booking options, Google Map Tags, Featured Areas, a Blog, and the cool Calendar on the homepage convinced me to use it in one of my projects.

Is there a Party next weekend? – Yes.  Where? – There, ha. Where do I sign?  (click)

The eStore Theme

estore theme

From all the eCommerce themes at elegant, I think this one is the most reasonable. It’s simple, alluring and functional. Has PayPal checkout option, shopping carts, and space for product description.

If you’re looking to open a fast online store, I’d stop here.

 A Business Theme

instyle theme

A theme that can be used in any possible business niche. It’s well arranged, full of contrast and inspiring. It has a blog, 3 page types and many options regarding the homepage.

Don’ worry, all the background images can be changed.

Got a Resume

eresume theme

No well qualified businessman/freelancer can make it without one of these. If you’re looking towards professionalism and strong business relationships, having an online resume is mandatory.

The themes was constructed so you can insert any type of info a resume may have. (even gallery)

A News Theme

enews theme

Well built, with ingenious arrangements and lots space. All sorts of featured spaces, slider news, galleries and many other plugins.

The theme is for those who publish a lot, who have lots of information to offer, and cherish every inch of the page.

For Personal Blogs

personalpress theme

Although it’s not the newest Nick made, I consider it to be the best of it’s kind. No distracting features, yet many options.

It’s a general blogger’s theme, no special effects, just posting and sharing. (cute social bookmark buttons)

One of a Kind Q&A Theme

askit theme

It’s a Q&A theme, what else? It’s a blog that mainly takes over the “Yahoo Answers” idea and implements it into wordpress.

Tagging the questions and categorizing by: Answered, Unanswered, Popular & Niche guarantees full visitor satisfaction.

General Theme

bold theme

Check out the demo and you’ll understand why I chose it.

It’s so attractive that you can’t pass by without staring at it for a few minutes. A general blog theme (personal blog)

Remember that the design is not just about beauty, it’s a marketing tool (page arrangement being a key-factor to whether the visitor will check out your stuff), and what makes people remember you & come back for more. Do not waste hundreds of dollars prematurely on a custom made websites, as there are already plenty of premium themes out there that can offer the same efficiency, and save the money you can use for promotion.

Regards, Daniel C.
