Google Pagerank Update January 2011

After about 6 months of no update, we could only guess why google doesn’t bother. There were only some gossips running around on webmaster forums like digitalpoint or warriorforum about few website owners getting some pageranks but no real update. I didn’t really have anything to update … but got involved in some discussions on dp, and got some news on Monday “Update started 24th January”. Regardless the fact I didn’t really care, my friend had a huge list of sites that had been undergoing seo for the last six months, and had huge … rather crucial hope to this update. Unfortunately … none of the (at least) 100 sites got pageranks. I was pretty shocked … cause we both worked on those sites a lot, and keeping the sites for half a year was already too expensive (initial investments, server, ip’s, etc.). Can’t imagine any reason for the shit that happened … cause even my blog (firstblogpost.com) got PR1 :/ …

Interesting: On the average … are webmaster satisfied about their pageranks ?  http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2076688

eBay Sucks – Other Auction Alternatives

After the “Why eBay Sucks) – Here’s the list of other bidding websites.

Amazon - Everyone knows this site, I won’t have to explain much. They pay you every 15th and at the end of the month via a direct deposit to your bank. I alos read an article that Amazon is projected to get more hits during the holiday season than Ebay. Good for Amazon !

Overstock - They have surprisingly introduced an auction portion of there site to compete with Ebay I believe it’s working slowly.

Ebid - An Ebay alternative that has been in-the-making for quite some time and they are always improving and expanding locations/territories served.

Auctionaddict - At first seemed to be a dinky site that wanted to fight Ebay but they seem to be filling out in content , since the last time I checked them out.

Ubid - Another great site like Ebid only I beleive they have been in the game longer and their site looks very sleek very worth checking out !

Google Answers

1) The more outbound links I have on my website & articles , the better my page rank will be ?

Answer>> No this is not true , in certain cases if you have nothing but “link farms” and no real content Google may actually penalize you for it thinking it’s spam.

2) The more affiliates I have the better?

Answer>> Yes & No , This question is tough to answer because this is more about preference. Pointing to a website with low-PageRank may be considered a “leak” of PageRank “juice”.

3) Google Likes it when I use proper header tags a lot in my articles!

Answer>> Yes

4) Do Directories help?

Answer>> Depends on directories (pr , alexa , etc.)

5) Increases in Pingbacks/Trackbacks/Inbound links are good right ?

Answer>> Yes

6) Do Excerpts help

Answer>> Yes

Best SEO – Regular Updates – Daily Posing – Original Content – Traffic Influence

After some weeks I got the new business plan, I totally forgot about my blog and updating. I can say that it is a full proof that regular updated posts, and original content is the key to seo and traffic influence. This week I totally forgot about posting on my blog, result – traffic decreased twice…but my biz idea’s going up. I can’t really understand why when you don’t post, the traffic decreases, maybe it’s one of the google’s queries for penalizing mature blogs. So … for bloggerz – Update Daily , and even you don’t what to write about, post, post , post . :)
